Many people start faceless YouTube channel and create mostly motivational YouTube videos like Ben Lionel who has accumulated over 3 Million subscribers. 

Many of the people who have motivational YouTube channels create their shorts from Joe Rogan’s Podcasts and other popular podcasts like Sadhguru. They simply gather fragments of the podcast, edit them together, add subtitles, and upload their content on YouTube, and their content receives a lot of views.

First, you'll need to search for the podcast on YouTube. I advise you to filter the videos and select Creative Commons videos since they are free to be reused and you avoid copyright strikes and Your channel can easily be monetized.

After finding the video you like, click on the share button and copy its URL. Then navigate to this AI tool called PICTORY.AI. This incredible AI-powered video editing tool is perfect for our need. In this video we'll focus on YouTube shorts and we shall use the script to video tool for Pictory.  Pictory is extremely user-friendly and it has both premium and free account. For the free account, you can work with up to 3 videos, then you can upgrade later.  All you need to do is just copy the link of the YouTube video you want to work with and paste it into Pictory.

Then click on proceed, then the video will begin uploading, and Pictorywill transcribe it from the video. This transcription serves as your editing tool.  You can remove entire sentences or individual words and they will be removed from the video.

Pictory has two features to help us to create a wonderful YouTube short with high retention rate; these are;

• the remove filler words and 
• remove silences features. 

Filler words and silences don't add value to shorts, you can see Pictory has marked all the filler words in red in the unnecessary words will be automatically removed from the video. The dots you see in a transcription represent the silences; more dots indicate longer silences. Therefore, enabling the remove silences feature will remove these silences. Another amazing thing with Pictory is you can choose the length of the silences you want to remove.  

I suggest you set it to zero for the fastest Pace short possible. Then press OK and all the silences will be eliminated from the video.

Pictory incorporates AI into its software. The auto highlight feature allows Pictory to scan the transcript and determine the highlights of the video. This feature can be used to summarize long videos as well as to create shorts.

You can choose the percentage of the video you want to be summarized, I would suggest 50% works best because if you choose less, you may miss valuable parts and if you choose more you may include too many less important parts in your shorts.

Now you see green marked sentences in the transcript. These are the highlights according to pictures AI here's what you should do. Quickly read through the highlighted parts and follow these steps. When you find a highlight you like, you’ll may need to expand it a bit.

Select the whole section you want to include in your short video and click on add to highlights this will add the selected parts to the highlights. However, every sentence in the transcript is seen as a separate highlight by Pictory, so you'll need to select the entire highlighted part again and then choose merge sentences, this will combine these sentences into one creating a single highlight that will become a short video.

You can also do the opposite if you see something that Pictory thought would be a good highlight but you disagree, you can select the highlighted parts and click on remove from highlights.

When you're finished, you'll have something that looks like this. Since we're creating shorts, we need to change the aspect ratio from landscape to Portrait.

Pictory automatically enables subtitles which is a great feature. Many people watch shorts with their sound off so subtitles are crucial. You could also turn them off by selecting the slider but we want to keep them on.

Look for a subtitle style you like and when you're done now go to the highlights as you can see Pictory says we've made many highlights.

When you select download video clips Pictory will notify you that there is no text found and it will automatically skip those clips as you can see Pictory is now generating all the separate shorts.

Thanks to Pictory you can easily create hundreds of shorts with minimal effort however I'd like to add the following while there are many monetized shorts channels that simply add subtitles to their videos and call it a day, I would recommend editing your shorts further to make your shorts more unique. This way you will have a better chance of getting monetized and once you are monetized, you'll have a brighter smile like this.
